zFairs newsletter December 2025

Editor's Note

Hygge (pronounced hoo gah) is a Danish/Norwegian lifestyle centered on positivity and wellbeing; embracing informal time spent with loved ones and also giving yourself moments to relax and reflect on the simple joys of life.

Adjusting the design in your living spaces can also help create Hygge by adding elements of warmth and comfort. By adding soft things like pillows and blankets, and increasing light and warming elements such as adding candles or lighting a fire can build feelings of relaxation and positivity.

Our hope is that we help you feel hygge by reducing your stress while planning your events. We are so grateful to be surrounded by clients like you that we can call our friends.

We hope you can experience hygge multiple times this winter, and happy holidays!

A heartfelt welcome to our new clients as of December 2025!

zFairs is one software program that we offer. You may not know it, but some of you may be familiar with our other software program, Orkboo.

Have you ever used the ISEF. App? This is a Orkboo operated program.

What is Orkboo? Well, its in the name. Orkboo is a workbook software super compatible for mobile operations.

If you have a need for a mobile workbook software, or if you are interested in using the ISEF.App, let us know! We would be thrilled to introduce you!

NEW & IMPROVED

Working hard to make zFairs exactly what you need. Here are the updates and improvements from last month:

  • School Admins are now available to be assigned as users on zFairs and have the same access as a teacher.
  • Tags are now identified when using the the filter in paperwork review to make it easier for SRC/IRB to be find assigned participants.
  • Accounts can now be created after participants finish filling out their profile. They are then directed to the entry tab where they can continue with required paperwork etc., for entry.
  • Feedback review now includes custom judge questions.
  • You can now easily edit basic style home pages through the edit button at the top right of the page and double clicking into the area you would like to edit.
  • We have made it easier for students and other signers to identify what forms they need to sign while using interactive forms.

zFairs TIP: Creating Pages

Creating custom pages is one of the best features for tailoring your zFairs site exactly how you need it.

Many clients rely on the Basic style site and its homepage tabs to show different information based on the logged-in user. We've enhanced this customization with a sleek, updated look and more flexible use by giving you the capability to create custom pages.

A custom page, accessible as a new menu item, takes users away from the main homepage to a dedicated section with new information. This offers the same navigational flexibility as traditional tabs, but with greater control and user-specific targeting.

Benefits of Creating Custom Pages:

  • Tailored User Experience: Easily provide specific information that is relevant only to particular users.
  • Declutter the Homepage: Move non-essential information off the main page and into its own dedicated menu item.
  • Endless Customization to create unique pages such as:
    • A separate Contact Us page.
    • A Donors page.
    • Out-of-town judges' lodging details.
    • Informational videos for participants.
    • And much more!

You can also add internal links to your links widget, making it easy for users to navigate directly to these custom pages.
