zFairs newsletter February 2025

Editor's Note

February may bring more cold weather, but it is also the perfect month to show your love.

We want to show our love and appreciation to our clients. zFairs has made tremendous strides since our first fair, just over 10 years ago. Your support and trust have been instrumental in our growth and we are excited for the journey ahead.

As we continue to improve, we are committed to providing you with exceptional service and outstanding solutions. We look forward to having many more years of success with you. Thank you for using zFairs!

January’s New Client

In 1928, the American Institute in New York City, featured a collection of exhibits made by students from local schools.

They called it The Children’s Fair. It was so popular that they decided to make it an annual event.

Over time, multiple cities and states adopted this idea to promote interest in the scientific arts. These exhibits then grew into the competition we now all recognise as STEM fairs.

The population of science fairs is recognized world wide.

We even see them portrayed in a variety of media sources including popular children’s cartoons.

zFairs started with a science fair, and we hold these fun and innovative events close to our hearts. We want to give a special welcome to our new client this month Louisiana Region VI Science & Engineering Fair, and thank all of our other STEM fair clients for making zFairs a part of your event.

Team Notes:

Our dedicated team has been tirelessly enhancing zFairs to create an outstanding software experience. This month, we're focused on expanding our client base.

Your referrals are invaluable in helping us grow. By introducing others to zFairs, you’re not just sharing a great tool; you’re helping us continue to innovate and provide top-notch solutions. If you know someone who could benefit from zFairs, please share your experiences with them.

We'd be thrilled to connect and demonstrate how we can simplify their events.

Introducing:Inventerprise

This Central Oregon based competition was founded by the company Lonza. Lonza enables a healthier world through pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Lonza wanted to get children started on the path of scientific exploration by engaging them in a fun way. They came up with a simple but impactful competition that encourages children to think outside the box and creatively come up with solutions to real scientific perplexities. Lonza workers volunteer their time to run this event every year.

Schools are given a prompt and theme each year that they can incorporate in their classrooms and engage the students in project based learning. Students then come up with their concepts, create a design, and present their work to the Lonza judges. Winners receive t-shirts and other fun prizes.

Inventerprise has been running for 33 years. This year they had a total of 781 students, K-12, participating.
