Editor's Note

A genetic mutation causes a common 3-leafed clover to become a "lucky" four-leaf one. Although the genetic mutation is rare and is not passed down through offspring, finding one isn't as difficult as you might think.

Statistically, there is one four-leaf clover in every 10,000 standard ones. Given how densely they grow, you can often find a lucky charm in a patch as small as 13 square feet! Because it is a mutation, some lucky seekers even find clovers with five or more leaves.

In Celtic lore, these clovers are said to not only offer protection, but also contain magical powers. Each leaf represents a pillar of a good life: faith, hope, love, and luck.

We wish you all four of these virtues in your upcoming events and throughout your lives—whether or not you happen to find a clover of your own.

Team Notes

We receive hundreds of fantastic feature requests this time of year. As you all dive into your busy event seasons, we love seeing the creative ways you suggest making our software even better.

While we aim to incorporate as much feedback as possible, we must prioritize updates based on our current development roadmap. If a suggestion isn't implemented immediately, it doesn't mean it isn't a great idea—it may just be better suited for our "slow season" schedule.

Need a specific feature sooner? For clients who require an immediate or custom solution, we do offer Priority Development. If you'd like to expedite a specific request to the top of our list, we are happy to provide a quote to help make that happen. Just reach out!

zFairs TIP: Re-numbering ID's

Here are a few tips and things to consider when re-numbering project ID's:

  • Choose a Project Format — There are many formats you can choose from to fit your event. Although, there are two specific formats you should know about that help you number even better:
    • Number in Category: Go to Category Manager (All Settings) and in each category, set an "ID offset". This will tell the system to start numbering that category from that number. For example: you can enter in 100 to be the offset number for category A. Every category A project will be numbered from 100. This can help quickly identify Categories. Divisions also have an Entry ID number Offset that can be used INSTEAD of category offset numbers.
    • Division and District Modifier: These are just abbreviations that can help you quickly identify/sort by divisions or districts.
  • Renumber Entries — Click into the "i" and search for "Renumber Entries" to quickly reorder entries from 1 (by registration date, and ID offsets).
  • Manually set ID by configuration — Allow for staff to override Entry Ids - and edit in participant profile.
