Editor's Note

From Mother's Day to Memorial Day, May is a month dedicated to remembering and honoring those who are important to us.

We take this time to pay tribute to the brave individuals who have served in the armed forces and sacrificed their lives defending our home and freedom. To our family members and friends currently serving in the military, we extend our heartfelt gratitude.

Additionally, we want to honor you, our valued clients, who dedicate your time to helping our children shine in various subjects, encouraging their growth and success. Your commitment makes a world of difference. Thank you!

Featuring: ISEF

The International Science and Engineering Fair has been running its competition for 75 years! Over 70 countries participate in this event, which is held annually in the United States.

This year, the event will take place in Columbus, Ohio, where over 1,800 students from grades 9-12 are expected to showcase their talents in science and engineering.

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals became ISEF's official sponsor in 2020 and has supported the event for the past five years.

The Society for Science heads the ISEF competition. They are a nonprofit organization "dedicated to expanding scientific literacy, access to STEM education and scientific research". They publish the Science News magazine and the online platform, Science News Explores, where thousands of subscribers learn about the latest scientific discoveries. Teachers and students across the country read these articles in the society's Science News Learning program.

You can support ISEF, which takes place from May 10-16, 2025, by visiting: https://www.societyforscience.org/isef

New and Improved

We have heard you! Here are some things we have improved:

New this Month

  • Search option added to awards so that you can choose how they are sorted for printing; by teacher, school, award, or category.
  • Made several updates to special award certificates and other certificates to format better and look nicer
  • New "Add Page" setting. You can now add pages and tabs to your site to make it a one stop shop for all your fair information.

Team Notes:

Our team meets regularly to discuss the needs of our clients, as well as those of potential clients. As you know, zFairs is customizable to fit your unique requirements. Whether you're organizing a STEM fair, a debate competition, a film festival, or a moot court, zFairs is the software for your event.

We're excited about upcoming enhancements, including simplified volunteer assignments, leveraging our showcase feature for concert venues, and introducing software to assist with auditions in the performing arts. If you have an event you think could use our help, let us know by reaching out to us at: support@zfairs.com

zFairs Tip: Archiving Your Fair

We hope your experience with us was outstanding and that you plan on using us again for next year's event. If you plan on continuing your contract, make sure you archive your last fair when you come back. Archiving gives you access to past years records and people information to make your next fair easier to manage. Follow these tips to have a smooth transition in archiving your event:

  • Archive BEFORE setting up your next event: Archive your event when you are setting up for the new year. DON'T wait to archive when your new event is active or during registration. This can cause new records to be deleted and records from past events will be mixed in during the new event, which can cause confusion and inaccurate reports.
  • Take your time reading through the process: Archiving is simple and we have set up a branch in the 'i' to walk you through it. Make sure you read through it carefully so that you know which records you are keeping and which ones you would like removed/archived. We will do what we can to help recover deleted data, but it is not guaranteed.

We are happy to help assist you in archiving your event. Contact us at Support@zfairs.com for help.
